This could be related to the contest described at books.google.com/books?id=t5gjAQAAMAAJ&pg=RA1-PA435&a... www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jonas-nathan-s "JONAS, NATHAN S. (1868–1943), U.S. banker and philanthropist. Jonas was born in Montgomery, Alabama, and was raised in Brooklyn, N.Y. Starting work at the age of 13 as an errand boy, Jonas became a traveling salesman and then went into the insurance business. In 1905 he was made president of a new bank, which later became the Manufacturers Trust Company." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eddie_Cantor "Eddie Cantor (born Isidore Itzkowitz; January 31, 1892 – October 10, 1964) was an American "illustrated song" performer, comedian, dancer, singer, vaudevillian, actor, and songwriter." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B._C._Forbes "Bertie Charles Forbes (May 14, 1880 – May 6, 1954) was a Scottish-American financial journalist and author who founded Forbes magazine."

Thanks swanq for figuring out who all three men are and finding an article about the contest. For those looking to read the article, do a search on that Google book link swanq posted for "page 435". Mr. Nathan wrote a letter to Forbes afterward saying that Mr. Cantor donated the prize money to charitable causes. I wonder that cup is today?

The Evening Star. June 07, 1925, Page 2, Image 54, column 1 chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/lccn/sn83045462/1925-06-07/ed-... reported, "Florenz Ziegfeld gave Eddie Cantor a big farewell party last Friday night. The "Kid Boots” star and his family sailed yesterday for Europe for a vacation." Presumably the young ladies are from the Kid Boots show or the Ziegfeld Follies.
