A Dr. Arthur Bledsoe Cooke (1869-1948), professor of German and French, was US Consul at Patras, Greece, 1910-1919: politicalgraveyard.com/bio/cooke.html#015.79.10 books.google.com/books?id=GSwEAAAAYAAJ&lpg=PA95&o... His wife as of 1899 was Stella Viola Crider. Survivors of the Athinai, a ship that was set on fire during WWI. They came home safely on the Tuscania, September 1915. This article: query.nytimes.com/mem/archive-free/pdf?res=F60F13FA385B17... Mentions Mrs. Cooke and Miss Coffey: "Another survivor of the Athinai was Mrs. A. B. Cooke, wife of the United States Consul at Patras, who was accompanied by her three little children and a friend, Miss Frances Coffey of Richmond, Va. Mrs. Cooke said that her children had stood the exciting experience of the fire and leaving the ship well, but they had no clothes left except what they had on. Miss Coffey said she saved a hat, a collar, a toothbrush, and a box of pins." From the list of American passengers, the boys here must be Louis Cooke and Earle Cooke. From the passenger list of another trip, it looks like the slightly older sister of Louis and Earle was Mary Cooke. www.ellisisland.org/shipping/FormatTripPass.asp?sship=Pat....

She's holding an advertisement for high-class vaudeville at a B. F. Keith's Theater. But which theater would it be? Looking at the hi-res image at LoC, I think it's probably "Washington DC" below the theater's name. That makes sense, since the National Photo Company Collection is mainly associated with Washington DC.
