    Well, I'd have to be honest and say my eye is drawn more to the street lighting! There's two of the famous 1930s concrete Sofrapel columns, made in France, with Holophane lanterns; and the shop facade has two GEC 'Clearmain' lanterns that must have very fully illuminated that pavement!

And here's some more info about the building: www.buildingsofireland.ie/buildings-search/building/50010... Prominently situated on the corner of O’Connell Street Lower and Lower Abbey Street, this bank building was built in 1916-19 by Ralph Byrne after the destruction of the Easter Rising. C.W. Harrison & Sons executed the elaborate carvings. Nos.12-13 were acquired by Irish Permanent Building Society from the Hibernian Bank in the 1950s.

    From front to rear VW Beetle, Austin Mini Triumph Tolado or 1500 FWD Ford Zodiac. Bedford TK truck. Behind the Garda Opal Rekord then a Ford Capri MK1 and a VW Type 2 van to left of shot. On the right and possibility on the pavement a Dodge 1ton van.

    According to IMDb both films were released in November 1971 in Ireland - The Last Valley on the 19th. So I presume we are sometime fairly soon around that date.

    My first thought when I saw this image was another movie - The Italian Job! The minis in line together speeding through Rome! A lovely shot of Dublin in the 70's. I love the lady and the girl at the bus stop with the bags of shopping waiting to take them home on the bus!
