Picture is taken in Stalheimskleivane: www.google.no/search?q=Stalheimskleivane www.nettavisen.no/innenriks/article1258766.ece (check brake & clutch before entering :) The road is still open, but the main road is going through a tunnel. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_route_E16

This is not a part of Hardangerfjord. The road between Voss and Stalheim continues down the Naeroydalen valley and ends in Gudvangen. This is where Naeroyfjord starts (UNESCO World Heritage). Naeroyfjord is a branch of the longest fjord in Norway, Sognefjord (204 km long). Check out www.naeroyfjord.com

Nærøydalen – Then and Now (100+ years later)

The road is now paved ... but looks to be just as steep and banked.
