    I believe this is actually not near Creede, CO at all. A horizon this flat can only be seen near the front range in Colorado. I would guess that this is taken on US-40 climbing Mount Vernon Canyon west of Golden, CO, facing west. The hill in the center just below the horizon would then be Green Mountain south of Golden.     it's been rebuilt. there aren't any curves in it anymore. one straight long hill called "freezeout."

    zebthepilot: Isn't this what is referred to as the "old freezeout road" nowadays? The mainline is (for the most part) straight downhill, but I believe the original road still exists. Follow this link to see what I mean.

    This is not a part of Hardangerfjord. The road between Voss and Stalheim continues down the Naeroydalen valley and ends in Gudvangen. This is where Naeroyfjord starts (UNESCO World Heritage). Naeroyfjord is a branch of the longest fjord in Norway, Sognefjord (204 km long). Check out www.naeroyfjord.com
