This is just great. Look at that trelliswork !

wei lawa xingat foto ni..

coming again to this photo, i think he can be a young Chorrojumo, a self-appointed "gypsy prince" (or king) from Granada, who made his living with tourists-travellers offering himself, idealized image of a gypsy, as companion guide and model to be photographed, what we call now "a souvenir". If so, this portrait could be of some importance, because in the other known ones we see an older person (both in the famous one by García Ayola, from 1880-1890, or in this other one from Señán y González) he died possibly in 1906; take a look also at trousers, boots and cane in this image in wikipedia

jorge dragón: That's really interesting what you tell us. I'd say it's most likely that our bearded fellow here is this man Chorrujumo when you compare his outfit with those on the images you linked to. It would be great if it's the same person! If so, our photo would also be localized to be from Granada. /Anna B.

nice picture! thanks for sharing

Hi, I'm an admin for a group called Sweden before 1945, and we'd love to have this added to the group!

Is Granada: Church of Santo Domingo in foreground, and Las Angustias church in the background possibly taken near, or from, Torres Bermejas in: loc.alize.us/#/geo:37.175577,-3.593422,19,k/ take a look at:

Thanks a lot for recognizing this town as Granada, and thanks for all the valuable information you have given us on the buildings as well. You are indeed familiar with beautiful Andalucía :-) /Anna B.
