William O'Duane and Henry Starck designers and makers of the (unpopular) "Dungannon pipes" and also the "Brian Boru" pipes, adopted by 19th /20thoC Irish-raised regiment bands.

The Duanes siblings William John Victor (1875-1959), Evangeline (1877-1957) & Eileen (1879-1962) were all born in Manchester to Irish parents. The Duane orchestra was still performing in 1939 though by that time Eileen was sadly recorded as an incapacitated former musician.
