Lost records included the the 1821/31/41/51 Census records. However, the 1861/71/91 Census records were not lost in the fire but pulped by the British government in 1919 to provide paper for the war effort. The 1901/11 escaped as they weren't stored there yet. The historic OSI maps also escaped as they were stored in the Park. I think the UK records also suffered a similar fate. On the right is the Record House, on the left is the Record Treasury where the records were stored. Connecting the two was an ‘isolation’ section intended to stop the spread of fire between the two sections
