Horowitz and his gang were convicted and executed, apparently they were believed to be acting at behest of NYPD Police Lieutenant Charles Becker, and there are photos in this Flickr series of Becker going to Sing Sing also. The guilty verdict in Becker's original trial was overturned by an appeals court in 1913, but a retrial found him guilty again. He was the only policeman in U. S. history to die in the electric chair.
