Nice things often come in pairs, be it vents or lower limbs. I also like the Fiat 600 with the L plates!

I was wondering if they were vents above an old public toilet - am entirely open to correction on this?

Stu, I was trying to figure that one out also but the nearest were down outside the Savoy as I recall and that would be a long way from there. I would have to say I agree with Patrick, the lower limbs on the good looking blonde make this an excellent shot for comparison!

A fine street photo, with The Mystery of the Bollard Perforations. Wikipedia tells us: Internally illuminated traffic bollards have been in existence throughout the United Kingdom since the 1930s,

Shay Murphy Excellent! Don't forget to let us see it - and watch out for low-flying buses... :)

I would like to see the today shot as well. I am thinking there might be a lot of changes, but not sure....keep me posted please!

Not sure what they were but they were hollow with holes across the top, as though they were vents for something below ground! I always like the monument and felt that the quote was a really powerful statement.

Sorry sister, but you hat is funny. May the Lord forgive me... Do you take confessions?

The "WZD" registration on the Ford Anglia dates from 1962/3 so that further confirms the likely date for the photo.

Irish251 Thanks, and have added Ford Anglia as a tag...
