I think this is South Lodge in the 1911 census, John Quinlan and family.

Carpet looks in good condition. Is that a hole or a stray leaf under the chair? On closer inspection it may have had a bit editing/scratches.

Why isn't the gentleman standing and one or both of the ladies sitting?

beachcomber australia I though that a bit odd. Older lady I would have expected to be seated. If Miss Nolan is the younger lady, is the man her brother as I do not see an engagement ring on her right hand ?

The ladies only had one pair of shoes between them, that's why they are standing on one foot each.

We visited previously with Mr Mason -

"The craftmanship and intricate detailing of the two decorative fireplaces in the Long Gallery are beautifully showcased against the simplicity of the plain lime-rendered walls. The eastern fireplace has an original plaster over-mantel of tripartite design, and the great limestone fireplace at the west end is dedicated to the Butler arms of Thomas himself, guarded by a pair of griffins in collar and chains (Fig 9).
