What a beautiful photo of the organ! This, of all the town halls I have seen, is the best, the most wonderfully designed. I love its side alleys, its human scale, its beautiful galleries. Is there a better town hall in Australia? Sydney Town Hall is hard to beat. (And then of course, there is the outside, in that lovely warm Hawkesbury sandstone.)

billh35 But was this really a pub? I'm wondering if during the day, it operated also as a waiting room for "facilities of locomotion" as I saw transport described in an 1891 Dublin guide... And they're not unaccompanied either, which was surely the greatest transgression back in the day.
