ACCIDENT AT KING JOHN'S CASTLE CARLINGFORD.—On Monday evening a venturesome young sailor, from a vessel at present lying in Carlingford Harbour, was clambering through the picturesque ruins of King John's Castle when he missed his footing. and fell from a height of twenty feet. Fortunately, he escaped with his life, but his right arm was fractured, and he sustained other injuries.

“Carlingford Castle's west wing was built in the late 12th century by Hugh de Lacy, Lord of Meath shortly after the Norman invasion of Ireland. Surely you need an actual tree or shrub for a pruning demonstration. Perhaps it is actually grafting.

They didn't call it the cumberland argus and fruitgrowers' advocate for nothing.
