    The light cruiser USS Phoenix (CL-46). Surviving unharmed after the Japanese sneak-attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, the ship would serve and fight throughout the Second World War. She would be sold to Argentina in 1951. As the Argentine Navy's ARA General Belgrano (C-4), she would be torpedoed and sunk by Royal Navy nuclear-powered attack submarine HMS Conqueror in May 1982 during the Falkland Islands War.     The ship appears to be the armored cruiser USS Brooklyn (CA-3), judging by the three tall, thin funnels, and the barely visible name on the stern. The Brooklyn also had a main armament of 8x8" guns, so the 8" shells were probably being added to or removed from her magazines.
