She is mentioned in the Washington (and some New York) papers of the period in the society columns, along with her mother Mrs. George F. E. Harrison, widow of a career military man. She made her debut in 1912, and married Geoffrey Keyes on 12/1/15, at West Point. Wow! What treaty was being signed and who is this?

Figuring out which treaties were being signed may be tough unless we can identify the other signatories. NYT of Aug 14, 1914 query.nytimes.com/gst/abstract.html?res=9C0DE1D8113FE633A... suggests that Bryan felt that peace treaties would prevent war and negotiated many of them while he was Secretary of State. "With only informal discussion, the Senate this afternoon ratified eighteen of the twenty peace treaties negotiated by Secretary Bryan. The treaties with Panama and the Dominican Republic were held back to ascertain what effect they would have on existing treaty relations. It appears the this is the simultaneous treaty signing mentioned in the Sept. 16th article which is characterized as a peace treaty between the United States, Britain, France, Spain and China. The article also identifies the gentlemen at the table with Secretary Bryan. We'll add the information to the record the next time we update.
