Press reports of the 1910-1911 era describe her as Australian. American impresario Henry W. Savage engaged her to appear in his productions of The Merry Widow and the Girl of the Golden West.

Here is a transcription of a 1942 interview with Ivy Scott. She was indeed raised in Australia, but had been born aboard the ship on which her parents were immigrating. She spent most of her adult life in the United States. She died in New York City in 1947.
