Theses are both "New Mexico" class battleships, the first US battleships that had individually elevating gun barrels. USS NEW MEXICO (BB40), USS MISSISSIPPI (BB41) and USS IDAHO (BB 42) The third in the class even survived into the 1950's as a test platform for guided missiles !

Ferry is "Lady Carrington". Built 1908. From Wikipedia: "Part of the Balmain New Ferry Company fleet until that company's takeover by Sydney Ferries Ltd in 1918.[43] Sold for breaking up 1934."
