    the angel is from the top of the South African War memorial in the Haymarket. This photo is from 1975 when she was taken away for restoration during the building of the Tyneside Metro station below. Now fully restored (with a new body and fibreglass wings!) she holds a sword in the left hand and a laurel garland in the right. In the background are the Plough public house, which closed in 1976, and the ABC Haymarket cinema. The whole block was demolished in 1985

    Streetview. While there is still a West End in Mallow, this is actually Main or Davis St., as noted by the photographer doing the Lawrence Photographic Project in 1990. The lack of statue in Lawrence's photo, dates it to pre. 1907 as that's when J.J. Fitzgerald was added.

Bottom headline something like BUNTING DISASTERS Top headline could be CONNECTION TO THE POPE Per wikipedia: Pius X's traditional coronation took place on the following Sunday, 9 August 1903 and on 1903-08-11, the Examiner had a story called CORONATION OF THE POPE There is also a BOATING DISASTER story, on the 11th! I think we have a match! Tuesday August 11th 1903. Someone with a newspaper subscription [ahem] might look at the other headlines that day, and see if any match the less legible lines here. Another possibility: I think that BOATING story is plural DISASTERS - was there a weekly edition on Saturday which might have covered the DISASTERS on the 11th and 14th, as well as the Pope? If so, it may be Saturday 15th of August, 1903
