  Woo hoo, my neck-of-the-woods! The Soldiers' Memorial has been moved since these photos about 50 metres NW to the edge of the River Hastings. I am not sure why. It was unveiled on Wednesday 30/03/1921 as part of the celebrations for the centenary of Port Macquarie's first settlement by Europeans. " ... A fine war memorial honour roll, 21 feet high, made of Bowral trachyte and Aberdeen red granite, was unveiled by Mrs. Hill, the Mayoress.
