Since the photo of the last day came from Interlaken, I assume that "B. Oberland" means Berner resp. Bernese Oberland (Highlands).

Very interesting and unusual shot. Perhaps a way of "copying" those images? One imagines it was entirely deliberate and with some purpose. Unlike modern photos of shoes, thumbs and pocket lint, it would presumably have been very difficult and unlikely for this type of shot to have been taken accidentally. "Oops - I took [and then went to the INCREDIBLE trouble of developing] a photo of the floor again" seems an implausible exclamation :)
