    This must have been taken sometime in 1916. Olympic was chartered by the Canadian government in that year for troop transport and was still painted in wartime grey with blackened funnels (as shown). In 1917, and until the end of the war, she was painted in dazzle camouflage.

    Definitely 1916, probably October, as this image closely matches one in the archives of the Cape Breton Military History Collections, found here.
