I love her face and her hat. I'd buy a bag of apples from her.

Looks like an interesting lady to talk with, and they look like fine apples.

Fossett's Circus is still going www.fossettscircus.com/ Not so the "News of the World".

But for the fact that it states the photo was taken in 1969 I would have dated it around 1963 because of the heading 'Christine' on the News of the World poster. Christine Keeler was daily news in 1963.

Wrestling Spectacular must be Mick MacManus! Not the ears!

Jimmy Forsyth 2007

This photograph was obviously taken by someone other than Jimmy Forsyth, so if you want to claim copyright please let us know.

It's the very person who inspired me with my photography :) Although I kinda messed on with photography in my teens, it wasn't until I was in my mid-20s that I discovered Jimmys work and what he had singlehandedly achieved against all those odds. It taught me that it doesn't matter what age, sex or social standing you are that you can do so much. Once I'd finally mastered the basics (I wouldn't listen to anyone when a teenager!) I literally took off with my hobby. I've far more to show than what I dump onto Flickr now and then. One day it will be shown.. Jimmy was well known and well loved by so many in the North East. There were others too but this man opened my world.

I was furiously googling Barney and Beanie and then the penny dropped Batchelors Peas and Beans ad featured the happy pair. Howzat???

I had to rush my first comment to get in and try to beat all the experts to the prestigious prize and failed to think in terms of the quality of the shot and the two very enterprising young ladies. Such business acumen would make the bold Robert Emmet the darling of Ireland proud and rest in peace if only his epitaph were written!!

Swordscookie One virtual, but very prestigious prize, winging its way to you! Though shame on you for having to Google them... :)

How could anyone forget the ads on Telefis Eireann? I can still picture them.
