I don't think so, Amanda Murphy. If you look between the building and the billboard, you can see a bit of the harbour in the distance. But good thought!

On the high resolution image we created for this image I can zoom in and see it is civic address 129. Which confirms it is on the east side of a north-south street. A quick peek in the City Directories shows it couldn't be Barrington St., as 129 Barrington was way down at the Ocean Terminal end, and it couldn't be Upper Water St., as civic #129 was one of the wharfs. Next try was Brunswick St. - Yes! Up until 1961, the Street Directory lists 6 apartments at 129 Brunswick Street between Buckingham and Jacob Streets. This is the area, just north of the old City Market/Police building that was demolished for the Scotia Square/Cogswell Interchange projects.
