    Mariasme There were 12 major plague outbreaks in Australia between 1900 and 1925. Official government statistics record 1371 cases resulting in 535 deaths.     The 1920s and the 1950s/60s were the big development periods for Sydney ( or destructive - depending on your viewpoint) with so many Victorian and Georgian gems razed. I love the whitewashed fence with paint spatter all over the ground!
