It must be the Newcastle River. The stream going past the quarry is too small, and you can't see into Newcastle from it. I guess that would put this just below the ice house, about here: maps.osi.ie/publicviewer/#V2,736371,829544,10,7

Incidentally, a quick check of the lyrics against the 1901 census reveals that the Mountains of Mourne sweep down to Warrenpoint.
