Is one of these gentlemen linked to Synnotts' (Sinnotts) Hotel at Rosslare Co. Wexford? I remember the hotel from my young days on holiday there in the 1950's.

Possibly the "Synnott" is the founder (or son of) of John A. Sinnott which is around since 1865.

I didn't see a matching Sinnott, Synnot or Synott in the census either, so if he's spelt wrong, it's in some quite random fashion.
