  7/2/18. I dispute that this is the back of the house. The road appears to be a main road, probably Court Street, and there does not appear to be a road at the other side of the house. From Court Street, the side door and porch have always been on the left side of the house. I believe this photo was taken before additional alterations were made; i.e., the front door and patio were removed. Still one of my favorites too. I will check it out when I am next in Keene.

  Possibly the "Synnott" is the founder (or son of) of John A. Sinnott which is around since 1865.

  I didn't see a matching Sinnott, Synnot or Synott in the census either, so if he's spelt wrong, it's in some quite random fashion.

  Sharon Corbet Maybe it was commissioned in the firm's name and there were already no Sinnotts left in the firm by that stage.
