Road in South Keene New Hampshire

If this is a photo of South Keene (which I think it is) looking west toward Keene, then the bridge would be crossing the Branch River, and off to the left would be the road to Swanzey Factory (either Swanzey Factory Rd or Depot Rd not sure which). This area (I think) is just a short distance up river from the beautiful stone arch railroad bridge built in 1849 or thereabouts.

That's probably correct. We were having a hard time picturing (no pun intended...) just where this shot was located. It looks so different. Do you think that that brick building on the right is still there?

This is a smudge painting (using the smudge brush in Paint Shop Pro and a Wacom tablet) of the Ashuelot River, Keene, NH, based on this image contributed to the Flickr Commons by the Keene Public Library and the Historical Society of Cheshire County.
