    The "Binders" are in transport mode, the drawbar would be turned through 90 degrees and the wheels are altered, so that the arms would be inline with the crop. Lovely old photo.

    This is only one step of the harvest process. The stooks or shocks still have to be threshed to separate the oats from the chaff.

Loading up the wheat sheaves

    trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/163684620# - this pic appeared in the Sydney Mail on 19th December, 1906...in a pictorial on the Sydney Mail Prize Farm competition. Per the Sydney Mail the pic was taken at F.C. Rowlands' farm 'Werribee', at Waugoola, near Cowra, in Central Western NSW. This other pic was also evidently taken at 'Werribee'. It also appeared in the Sydney Mail pictorial, on the previous page. www.flickr.com/photos/powerhouse_museum/2581842471/
