The Coliseum was located on Wabash Avenue between 14th and 16th Streets. It was the second Coliseum, and was built by Charles Gunther (candy factory owner) in 1899. Gunther had an entire Civil War prison (Libby Prison) dismantled and shipped by railroad car to Chicago to build the Coliseum. Today there is a park on the corner of Wabash and 14th called "Coliseum Park". The slabs in the park are parts of the original structure.

Hi Gary, I have an original 'Guest's' ticket, that says 2nd day only, mainfloor session 2, section R no 136. Looks just like the one posted above, but it does have a couple bend marks on the right side. Should I just frame it, or could it be worth something? Please email me back, at your earliest convience. scovento@cityofpa.us My dad found it in a box of stuff he got at a yard sale in Arizona, with some great ball trading cards. Any other info you can provide would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for your time. Sonnie Coventon City of Port Angeles Wa.
