Curtiss P-47G Thunderbolt Curtiss P- 47G-10-CU, 42-25068. Following cancellation of the Army contract for the P-60A in January 1942, the Curtiss-Wright company was given a contract to begin construction of the D-version of the Thunderbolt under license at

    As per the USAF Serial Number Search Results page: 42-25068 (c/n 21953) became N42354. In 1987 was N47DG with Ray Stutsman of Elkhart, IN. As N47DG, sold May 1987 to Robert Waltrip for the Lone Star Aviation Museum, Houston, TX Registered Feb 20, 2006 to Patina Ltd (The Fighter Collection of Duxford, England) as G-CDVX. Arrived May 2006 at Duxford. Still under restoration at Duxford in 2009. Restoration completed, made first post-restoration flight at Duxford Apr 21, 2012. Nice to know that it's still around and airworthy!

    The aircraft was restored by Ray Stutsman in the 1980s and flew as NX47DG. Following a trip to the UK for a few years, it has since returned to the U.S. under the ownership of Rudy Frasca, registered NX47FG.
