The aircraft was restored by Ray Stutsman in the 1980s and flew as NX47DG. Following a trip to the UK for a few years, it has since returned to the U.S. under the ownership of Rudy Frasca, registered NX47FG.

This is the Planes of Fame's Republic P-47G-15-CU Thunderbolt 42-25254 (FAA registration N3395G), currently displayed and flying @ Chino, CA as Bud Mahurin's P-47D-5-RE Thunderbolt 42-8487 UN-M "Spirit of Atlantic City, N.J." when he was about to become an ace in the 63rd FS 56th FG. When this photo was taken sometime around 1968, the P-47G was presented as a P-47D-22-RE 42-26387 "Miss Behave" of the 78th FG @ RAF Duxford in 1944.
