    This photo appeared in Hardware World for April, 1916, in an article about Ada Schilling with the title "Lack of Physical Strength No Obstacle to Feminine Achievement". According to the article, she was 4'11" and weighed 95 pounds. She had been trap shooting for 3 years and had many trophies, including "lady championship of California and the Pacific Coast." books.google.com/books?id=pC86AQAAMAAJ&pg=PA96&lp... In this 1917 newspaper article, she encouraged other women to take up the sport, and is also identified as being from Portland, Oregon: news.google.com/newspapers?nid=1144&dat=19170623&... This 1919 article says she had relocated to Portland from San Jose, California and was married to another professional shooter, Carl Schilling. oregonnews.uoregon.edu/lccn/sn83045782/1918-11-03/ed-1/se...     Mrs. Ada Schilling with a Remington Model 10 shotgun!!! NOT A RIFLE!!!! Although with her abilities she could probably hit trap targets with both a rifle or a shotgun.
