I may be wrong, but I don't think that Fort Denison was built on Pittwater and subsequently towed to its present location in Sydney Harbour.

Ian Sanderson Hi Ian, the RPAYC didn't move to Green Point until after the First World War. They were originally based in the centre of Sydney, but decided to move north after Sydney Harbour got too congested. You can read more about the club's history on their website: www.rpayc.com.au/club-information/archives-and-history

The things you learn. In my younger days I spent many happy hours messing about in boats at RPAYC.

Ian Sanderson The club certainly has a long and interesting history. We had the pleasure of visiting the RPAYC a few days ago and decided to share this album so they could view it. Hopefully it recalls some lovely recollections for yourself and many others who have been associated with the club. They are celebrating 150 years in 2017!
