Isn't it a remarkable photograph? Privilege, position, power, personality, perfectly posed, peerlessly photographed, posterity perpetuated! (that was a struggle!!!) It is a really interesting photograph of a different era and a remarkable family. The family resemblances are distinctive, the elegance is definitive but the groom looks less than enthusiastic. Quite a lot of leg on display for that era, rather risque?
