Newest car I see could be a 1972. This may be from 1972 or earlier? There are many photos from this undercrossing in the Rohr archive.

Warringah Highway! The Warringah Freeway which emerges here now was officially opened in 1968! I'm beginning to think Dr Bradfield was perhaps the greatest visionary ever to work for the NSW Public Service. Incredible!

pellethepoet I wonder if some public servant picked up Bradfield's 1924 plans, dusted them off, and reworked them in the 1950s and 60s!

John Cowper Visionary or megalomaniac? I think if he had his way the whole city would be covered in expressways, railways, bridges, and wharves, with no room for houses, parks, and people. Sydney might have become as soulless as Los Angeles.
