A different Bain photo of an acrobatic sailor from the Amiral Aube ran in the New York Tribune, May 13, 1917 with the caption: "A French sailor-acrobat. A similar shot taken from above ran in the South Bend news-times., May 05, 1917 with the caption: "A deck scene on board the French cruiser Amiral Aube. which put in to New York after escorting to American shores the ship that brought Gen.
