Megazoom - the inscription on the jug on the bottom step says 'Challenge Cup' which is odd because it's the only trophy which isn't a cup. Below that there's a year. It's not clear but I'd hazard a guess at 1893 or 1895.

There's a photo of what I assume is Waterford Boat Club (despite the title) given their jackets here with what looks like the same Challenge Cup at the bottom, though turned the other way.

This Similar Item shows her necklace has a portrait of a young boy on it, possibly little John (it's a bit blurred above) - catalogue.nli.ie/Record/vtls000591819 . Mary is holding a "Mouse" magazine! Having no luck finding the Globe Hotel or 20 The Quay on the old maps and streetview. Anybody?
