    I wonder if the 1928 date on the back of this photo is not the actual date the photo was taken, and this is one of the photos sent with the letter ? Someone will know !

    Seems like Mrs. R. H. Davis is Mrs. Richard Harding Davis. Harding's second wife was Bessie McCoy (c1886-1931), a Vaudeville performer--they wed in 1899, he died 1916.     Thanks pennylrichardsca for the additional information. I spoke to someone who knows vaudeville performers and he confirmed that this is Bessie McCoy on the left and Nellie McCoy on the right.
