    This is 158 and 160 Mott Street in Lower Manhattan, in what was then considered part of "Little Italy."

    A look at the circa-2009 Google Street View shows 158 Mott Street's then-still extant distinctive facade and fire escape iron work.

    Thanks TVL1970, someone else wrote to us to say this is in Manhattan and not Brooklyn. We will update it in the catalog records.

    Here's a 2012 Streetview
    The old fire escape ironwork on 158 Mott St was replaced between 2014 and 2016. The building was still there in the Nov 2024 Streetview
