Neither the classroom at my wife's school nor mine featured the tank - we didn't need a tank we lived in the city! (in retrospect we probably did, but I won't start that debate here!) I think we had two - it was growing suburb. I'd put the date in the 1950s

    My late father Preston Walker was AWB District Officer for Moree 1959-62. That brings memories back. I was very young. In fact I still have some of those ports (suitcases) here with memorabilia in them from Dad. He was very big on getting aboriginal students to school to better themselves. It is good to see aboriginals going to school here in Moree back in 1965.
