    “Union is Strength The men of this station are hereby invited to attend a monster meeting to be held in the Ball Alley Street (C Division) on Thursday 31st. Chair to be taken at 5 p.m. sharp. It is requested that all night men and all others off duty will attend this meeting for the purpose of taking into consideration the signing of the memorial and also for protesting against the threatening language used by Chief Superintendent Corr on last Saturday evening.
    We will take this opportunity of demonstrating (for Captain Talbot's information and guidance) that we are not reduced constables but constables whose characters are unimpeachable.
