Loading Coke, Hondo mines

This picture is rather close linked to Smelter near Durango www.flickr.com/photos/smu_cul_digitalcollections/83860811... in its left lower margin it appears "MEXICAN INTERNATIONAL" In loading coke... you can see a wagon that says "INTERNACIONAL MEXICANO" Ferrocarril Internacional Mexicano, completed the line in 1888, used to run from Porfirio Díaz (Piedras Negras-Eagle Pass), Coahuila to Durango City. This rail road company crossed rails at Torreón with Ferrocarril Central Mexicano, that completed lines in 1883 which joined El Paso, Texas-Paso del Norte (Ciudad Juárez), Chihuahua to México City. The train most likely is in México; notice de Mexican "adobe" (mud tiles) building, most likely crucibles or melting furnaces. Althoug several American mining companies were stablished in México. Smelter near Durango

  Most likely an iron smelter. To the right Cerro del Mercado where they extracted the metal from. Notice in the inferior left margin "MEXICAN INTERNATIONAL". This is a rail road company which used to run from Durango City to Piedras Negras (formerly Ciudad Porfirio Díaz), Coahuila, México, just across the border from Eagle Pass, Texas, USA. South to Piedras Negras there are several coal mining cities which most likely sended this mineral to burn and melt iron in Durango.
