Ivy's (or more properly Mrs Creeper's ?) hotel was larger when viewed from the right - catalogue.nli.ie/Record/vtls000336124 Can't find it on google maps - HELP !

Per the 25", this is as close as I can get - the Hotel was in the trees, the hillside is to our right. The 1930s Cassini map does not mark it as a Hotel, it marks a Doolough House. There are no houses at all on the 1830s 6".

Much less Ivy Creeper on another different visit - catalogue.nli.ie/Record/vtls000316495

Are we sure this is Co. Galway, not one of the several other lakes of the same name?

Of the 12000+ viewers to date it's a wonder no one has asked why did this woman bring her diploma in agricultural science and her three cows up the side of a cliff on such a damp day.......

O Mac Owen - Brilliant we have made 5 comments, I have added a much higher resolution of the photo for your perusal. I was wondering what was in her hand, I thought Evening Press!! With the higher resolution, it is clear she is holding a slide rule.

Streetview. maps.app.goo.gl/SPaibQ75UYpfjYdb7 That cottage on the left is still there. Hard to see if those steps are still there. Amazing growth in foliage since.

National Library of Ireland on The Commons The 25" Osi map shows that sluice on a weir and a water course running to a mill which was to the right of the photograph.

O Mac Looking at the street view it is hard to believe that it is the same place!
