Notice the streetcar tracks in the street, but no overhead wires? Wonder if the streetcars were still horse-drawn at this time?

Se eniros karta: kartor.eniro.se/m/9FMO5 /Anna B.

The fountain and the park is still there today. It's a beautiful park, that is being restored right now. The building in this photo was a restaurant built in 1881. It was destroyed in a fire and replaced by a new (now excisting) building in 1912.

"The Malmö Station was first opened in 1856, coinciding with the opening of the Malmö–Lund railway. At the time, the area was considered the outer edge of the city, but was convenient to Copenhagen-bound ferries, which loaded and unloaded in the Inre hamnen right in front of the station building. In 1926, Malmö Central Station became the station's official name." [1]
