Note that this armored car has an unprotected crank starter in front. I guess if it stalled in the face of the enemy you were SOL.

Democratic Party pols visiting Governor Woodrow Wilson of New Jersey, at the New Jersey resort town of Sea Girt, at the time of Wilson's nomination as the Democratic candidate for President of the U. S., in the election of 1912. In the tradition of that era, Wilson did not attend the Convention (which was held in Baltimore), but waited coyly at New Jersey's "Little White House" -- the summertime governor's mansion -- for delegations from the convention to "notify" him of the nomination.
