I'm going to guess 3rd Avenue North, between Broad and Church. The streets in that area were still brick when I lived there in the early 50's.

As an off and on resident of Nashville, I recognize that as 2nd Avenue about a block off Broadway. I can see the smog in the background. You won't notice that these days. I guess all of those old brick streets are gone now.
