Incredible. My grandfather came through in 1904 when he was 15 and over the next 10 years brought his entire family from eastern Europe.

Looking through these pic's and feeling awed. Wondering if Fathers were separated from their Wives and Children while on the island because, so far, I see either mothers and children -or- groups of men.... not seeing 'families' unless they are arriving to the island, or leaving it. Gives me chills to think of how brave these people are,
