    [notes working again - phew!] I think this photo is early 1891 - the Hotel Australia is nearing completion, but the GPO clock and the Lands Department Tower are not yet there. Mr Hall seems to be where Taronga Zoo is now from the alignment of Fort Denison and Cremorne Point.     Ha! I was passing by Nambucca Heads today (18/7/13) and thought I would get a snapshot to compare. Amazing how little has changed on the other side of the river.

    The "Vee Wall" as it is known was built in 1930 according to this article in the SMH - www.smh.com.au/travel/travel-factsheet/nambucca-heads--cu... - implying this photo is 1930s or later. (The railway came to Nambucca in 1923.)
