From en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SS_Katoomba_(1913) - "The SS Katoomba was a steamship built by Harland & Wolff, Belfast, Northern Ireland in 1913 for McIlwraith, McEacharn Ltd, Melbourne, Australia. She was launched on 10 April 1913 and travelled the passenger run around Australia. Requisitioned as a troopship during the later stage of World War I in May 1918, Katoomba was returned to her owners in March 1920. She was requistioned again as a troopship in February 1942 during World War II. After being returned to her owners in 1946, Katoomba was sold to Goulandris Bros in Greece in July and renamed Columbia in 1949. She was retired from service in June 1950, laid up at Piraeus in March 1958 and scrapped at Nagasaki in 1959."

This amazingly detailed photo shows the buildings at the foot of the present day Scenic Railway. Working on the date, but after 1895 so far.
